Networking is a key component of an actor’s ability to secure work. Most professional theatre companies in Sydney do not hold open auditions. They prefer to see actors at work in productions. Working with high-profile professional directors in recognised venues will give you the opportunity to invite other directors, producers, casting directors and agents to see your work and thereby improve and enhance your prospects for securing employment.
