ADVANCED DIPLOMA
Graduates of the Diploma Course who wish to complete a second year of training will be awarded an Advanced Diploma of Theatre Performance. They will also have the opportunity to complete the Advanced Voice program free of charge (see below). This means that Advanced Diploma graduates will have performed in six different productions (including two Shakespeare plays) with professional, experienced directors. They will also have an impressive CV; more fully developed skills and further opportunities to showcase their work to the industry.
Current or former students wishing to apply for the Advanced Diploma are also exempt from the need to audition (subject to successful completion of the Diploma program and the availabilty of places). Please contact the Course Director if you wish to apply.
ADVANCED VOICE
Graduates of Sydney Theatre School's Diploma of Theatre Performance (and other drama schools) may apply for our Advanced Voice program. The program offers a unique opportunity to further your training; and to develop the vocal skills required for acting in professional productions
THE PROGRAM
Advanced Voice focuses on the demands and skills required to successfully perform in contemporary; Shakespearean and other classical theatre productions. The program will bring your performance skills alive and enable you to draw on a wide range of processes, techniques and disciplines that will lead to increased confidence and vocal power on stage.
The program is delivered part-time (2 hours per week) over one year and is divided into three twelve-week terms. There is a two-week break between each term. The dates and times for 2010 are as follows: DATES:

Term 2: 12th May - 28th July
Term 3: 19th August - 4th November

Jane trained at The Central School of Speech and Drama which gave her a wide range of skills in movement, acting and voice. She has experience teaching Shakespeare texts; poetry; vocal anatomy; vocal health; phonetics; accents and production support at many of the world's leading drama schools (see below).
